More Cover
More work on the cover! Everything is pretty much how I want it to be. I just have to add in the city in the background. I'm not really looking forward to that because I wasn't really thinking about it when I set up my photoshop file. Oh well, it will be done soon!

Cover Work cont.
so here's a kind of mock up...I haven't inked yet (because I'm scared I'll screw it up and have to start over) but this is all photoshop manipulation. P.S.- coloring with a mouse sucks.

Finished Promo!
Here's my page that will be in Phil's comic. Pretty simple, but I really like it. I've never made an advertisement for myself, and while I understand that this isn't some big crazy deal, it still feels strange...
Orson & Pill no.5
My drawing is definitely improving, so that's cool. I have to tell you, this strip has the most accurate depiction of my beard and hair that has ever been drawn. And I'm proud of that.
Orson & Pill Promo
This is part of the promo page that's going to go in issue 1 of Sandwich Dan. Yes, my glorious hair is gone. Yes, my beard is longer than the hair on top of my head. Why, Yes, in fact I do love it. Anyway, I'll post the whole promo page when I finish it. It will also contain Orson & Pill no.5. Well, I'm not getting paid for any of this, but that's fine with me. I like it more than my real job.
Orson & Pill no.4
I was looking pretty hairy when I drew this last week. You'll see my new hairs cut in the next post. And apparently the drawing of me in panel two portrays exactly what the back of my head looked like pre-hair cut. Phil asked how I drew the back of my head so accurately, and I really don't know...It's not like I stare at the back of my head by holding an ivory hand mirror in front of my bathroom mirror every night, while whispering "you're so beautiful" over and over again until I fall asleep standing up...It's not like I do that.
Sorry about the salty language.
Sorry about the salty language.
Cover Sketches for Sandwich Dan no.2
This here, is a gray and color sketch for the cover of Phil's next issue of Sandwich Dan. I'm honored and excited to have it. I'm really pumped to do something in color, because most of my stuff is not. I just don't think in color most of the time. Also, this big flying eyeball with tentacles is seriously bad ass.
Early Comic 2
Second comic i did before starting O&P. People who like bad music aren't real people. Have fun with my wonky perspective (that door in panel one is seriously weird...)
Early Comic
First of two comics that I did before I started Orson & Pill. Lots of fun to draw...slightly more ambitions than the three panel Orson & Pill stuff. I really like the shot variety in this strip.

New posts soon..
Hey.
I'll have new comics posted at least by Thursday. I'm sure you're all ready to pee yourselves with sheer excitement. I already did...twice.

Orson & Pill no.3
Here's strip three. One more little tidbit: I'm trying to only draw myself in t shirts that I actually own.
Lauxx
Here's a sketch of a character called Lauxx, a unemployed children's show actor. I was originally thinking of doing comics based on him, but instead I decided to just draw myself. It's much easier to pull things from your own life rather than make everything up.
Lazy?
Yup.
Lazy?
Yup.
Orson & Pill no.2
Here's the second strip. I don't like to use rulers, so I'm sorry about the crookedness. Most of these strips are (and are going to be) based on actual conversations that me and Phil have had. And if it isn't based on a conversation that actually happened it's just something from my head. The best part is I know what both of us would say in pretty much any conversation.
Alien
This is an alien I designed and drew for Phil's comic, Sandwich Dan. It was a lot of fun to draw and I still want to digitally color it.
Orson & Pill no.1
Here's the very first stip of Orson & Pill that I drew. I was planning on this just being a sketch that I would later redraw, but I just like it the way it is. Deal with it..
Introducing: Orson & Pill
The first image is the inspiration for me to start drawing new comics. It's me on the left and my good friend, Phil, on the right. For no real reason, I decided to call us Orson and Pill instead of using our real names. The look might change a bit over time, and the characters change as we change but the basic design will probably stay the same.
Allow myself to introduce myself..
This is me. I've started drawing what think of as myself. It feels therapeutic. It's a lot of fun to recreate funny things from my life and funny things from my head. I want to work towards what Robert Crumb did in his comics: brutally honest autobiography.
